Alueella "Vuorovaikutus" on inherentisti ongelmallista keskustella Brexitistä "vuorovaikutteiseti", koska koko soppa on perustaltaan harhaisesti viritetty ja vuorovaikutuksen tuolle puolen polarisoitunut.
Avaan kuitenkin uuden säikeen 13.3.2019 eli päivänä, jolloin brittien parlamentti on jo toisen kerran hylännyt pääministerinsä neuvotteleman Brexit-sopimusehdotuksen ja valmistautuu kohtaamaan tilanteen, johon virkamieskunnan neuvot ovat vähäiset.
Niille, jotka avaavat silmänsä vasta nyt, muistutan, että 2016 britit neuvoa antavassa kansanäänestyksessä valitsivat pyrkiä eroon EU:sta. Kukaan eron kannattajista ei halunnut pääministeriksi ja eroprojektia vetämään nimitettin eroa vastustava konservatiivi Theresa May.
Parin vuoden neuvottelun jälkeen May on esitellyt kahteen kertaan parlamentille asiallisesti yhden ja ainoan sopimustekstin, joka on kaadettu. Jälkimäisellä kerralla kaato oli aavistuksen niukempi kuin ensi kerran historialliset murskaluvut.
Tänään brittiparlamentti ilmeisesti äänestää erotaanko EU:sta ilman erosopimusta. Oletettavasti äänestys päätyy valintaan "ei".
Siis ei sopimusta eikä eroa ilman sopimusta.
Euroopan neuvoston puheenjohtaja Donald Tusk on ihmetellyt millainen erityispaikka helvetissä on varattu niille, jotka ilman suunitelmaa suosittelivat Brexitiä, sanatarkasti "wondering what a special place in hell looks like for those who proposed Brexit without a sketch of a plan".
Donald Tusk on maininut, että pelkkä brittiparlamentin ilmoitus riittää pysäyttämän Engannin eron EU:sta. Ai mitäkö tarkoittaa? Välttääkseni moitetta käännöksen suuntausvirheestä, kopioin Tuskin lausuman tähän: “If a deal is impossible, and no one wants no deal, then who will finally have the courage to say what the only positive solution is?”
Useampikin uutiskanava on esitellyt omia vuokaavioitaan. Yhteistä niille on, ettei realistista mm minun heti vuonna 2016, esittäämää haaraa ole mukana. Siis ennusteeni:
- Tänään Britannian parlamantti valitsee, ettei sopimukseton Brexit tule kysymykseen
- tänään tai huomenna Britannian parlamentti valitsee, että kun sopimukseton ero EU:sta ei tule kysymykseen,
- - parlamentti pyytää EU:lta jatkoaikaa uuden Brexit-kansanänestyksen tekemiseen tai
- - päättää peruuttaa erohakemuksen.
Luottaen ihmisten ikimuistoiseen kykyyn houruta kangastusten perässä, pidän myös mahdollisena, että parlamentti pyytää EU:lta jatkoaikaa epämääräisesti vain pitääkseen päätään pensaassa. Onhan sekin taktiikka joskus toiminut. En kuitenkaan usko, että kesähelteellä olisi mukavampi tehdä hankalia päätöksiä kuin kevään viileydessä.

Yksi ongelma on EU-vaalit. Jos Britannia ei ole eronnut vaalipäivään mennessä EU:sta, Britannialla täytyy olla ehdokkaat ja sen tulee osallistua vaaleihin. Erotakseen ehkä seuraavana päivänä EU:sta.

UK’s withdrawal from the European Union
Motion made and Question proposed, That this House:
(1) notes the resolutions of the House of 12 and 13 March, and accordingly agrees that the Government will seek to agree with the European Union an extension of the period specified in Article 50(3);
(2) agrees that, if the House has passed a resolution approving the negotiated withdrawal agreement and the framework for the future relationship for the purposes of section 13(1)(b) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 by 20 March 2019, then the Government will seek to agree with the European Union a one-off extension of the period specified in Article 50(3) for a period ending on 30 June 2019 for the purpose of passing the necessary EU exit legislation; and
(3) notes that, if the House has not passed a resolution approving the negotiated withdrawal agreement and the framework for the future relationship for the purposes of section 13(1)(b) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 by 20 March 2019, then it is highly likely that the European Council at its meeting the following day would require a clear purpose for any extension, not least to determine its length, and that any extension beyond 30 June 2019 would require the United Kingdom to hold European Parliament elections in May 2019.—(Mr David Lidington.)

Löydän Theresa Mayn monien puheiden seasta ajatuksen/uhkauksen/päätelmän, että ellei hänen neuvottelemansa sopimus käy, suattaapi eroon pyristely jäähä tuskin puolitiehen...
Kukaties henkisen lujuutensa jo todistanut May jää historiaan myös täsmällisesti tavoitteet asettaneena ja keinot avoimesti esitelleenä poliitikkona eikä onnettomana ajopuuna. Harvoin näemme näin ison historiallisen tulkinnan muotoutumista muutamassa päivässä. Viikko vielä!
